I'll tell you - it's darn near impossible. I've been to five stores - FIVE! - looking for the bells so that I can recreate the decoration on the top of this cake for my in-law's 40th anniversary this weekend. And I can't find the darn things. I've tried Party City, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, another no-name party store, and even Big Lots (where I found a large bag of white silk flower petals for less than a dollar! Score!), but no bells.
I finally made a desperate trip to Garden Ridge Pottery this morning. Success at last. That $2.99 bag of bells (the very last bag, by the way - guess they're not as "out of style" as I'd been told) probably ended up costing me $15 in gas and untold amounts of stress. But [deep cleansing breath] my wonderful in-laws are worth it, aren't they? ;)
